Thanksgiving

Thankfully my car was fixed in time for our holiday travel.

Jake and I went to Lowell, Methuen, Tewksbury,& stayed a night in Chelmsford all in MA. We ate turkey in Hollis NH and then ventured to Fitzwilliam NH for a night with YAYA. Off to Nashua NH the next day for lunch and shopping and then back to YAYA's and then back to RI. We spent A LOT of time in the car but it was well worth being able to spend our holiday with so many people. We are so thankful to be able to visit so many people and be invited so many places! Daddy went to only half of these places and back and forth to work a few times.

Pictures to follow..i'm beat!

"I don't like tow trucks"

Neither do we, Jake! Mommy's car has been acting funky, so away it went on a tow truck tonight. Jake at first did not like the tow truck and it's loud sounds and lights. When I explained what the man was doing and held him at the door, he loved watching the car go up the ramp and onto the bed of the truck..although he was a little confused as to why it was being hauled away!

It wouldn't be a holiday week w/o one of us having car issues! I know this car is older, but really it works just fine (most of the time) and I have no desire for a car payment! So..let's hope it is fixed and cheaply!

We are headed to MA/NH for thanksgiving, with the idea that Jake and I would go early Wed morning and Alex would follow later that night, as he has to work that day and needs his own car to come back early to work yet again on Friday. Pending the outcome of the car, who knows what our plans will bring now. We are 100% going to see my family one way or another!

Thanksgiving, giving thanks, gratitude, grateful. All of the above! The Gregson family is grateful for it all..although we may have car issues right now, we will survive! The semester is nearing an end and we are all getting closer and closer the goals we have set for ourselves. I am so proud of our family!

Yesterday as Jake and Daddy were about to go upstairs for bedtime I walked over to give them our routine group hug and Jake smiled so cutely and just put his arm around my neck and the other around Alex and pushed us gently together for a smooch. I am so grateful that he is at the age where he loves to see his parents show affection. It's not like we are overboard about it..but I want Jake to grow up in a family where he isn't afraid to hug or give a quick smooch here and there. I want him to know that he is loved and to show him that his mom and dad love each other to the moon and back.

We wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving and are so very grateful for the amazing family and friends that we have!

Life according to Jake..

I explained to Jake tonight that he used to be in my belly and when he was big enough (7lb was big ENOUGH for me) he came out. He then attempted to try to get into my shirt and wanted to go back in. I explained it's a One Way street and once you're out, you're OUT.

I said "Daddy came out of MiMi's belly. Where do you think Auhnie Kaylin came out of?"

Jake's response..

"Daddy came out of Mimi's belly and Auhnie came out of Grampy's belly".

November

November is here..our first snow came yesterday and Jake man loved it! He looked outside when he woke up yesterday morning and said "it's snowing!" It melted quickly though, so he really hasnt had a chance to play in it. This winter should be interesting, as he is at the age where it will be really fun for him to get out in the snow and roll around.

Nothing too new to report..we are plugging along here, getting into the last month or so of this semester and we can't wait until it is over! It's too bad that we wish our weeks away by wanting the semester to end quicker! Someday classes and school work will be a thing of the past..some day.

Thanksgiving is coming up - we cannot wait to spend time with family and friends! This year we will be spending time with the Conlin side, so exciting! Last year we made a list of things we were thankful for, and it was fun just now to go back and read it. Thankfully we still have our health, our home, our friends and family and our jobs. TImes are tough out there...but as our newest piece of art in our sun room states- We are in this together. We have a lot to be thankful for and most of all I am so thankful to not only have the cutest little 2 year old ever, but to be able to share this awesome journey with my best friend & husband.

Here are some pics of Jake's first URI football game and a day spent on campus..
