Summer has gotten the best of us..instead of being inside and blogging, we are outside playing in the pool, cutting down the jungle in our yard, eating popsicles on the deck or under a tree, or running around at the local watering hole, aka the Spray Park.
What have we missed? Jake's second birthday party was full of fun..family, friends, a blow up pool and lots of presents! We had a great day at Mimi and Grampy's house surrounded by many family and friends. We can't thank Mimi and Grampy enough for hosting! They went above and beyond to host a wonderful day honoring Jake and Grampy.
Vacation! We went on our very first family vacation (well, vaca with just the three of us) and had a bast! We headed to our favorite spot in Maine, Wells/Ogunquit for the 4th of July weekend and loved every minute of it. Jake loved swimming at the hotel's pool, running Wells beach with Magaly and friends, and eating ice cream at Rose Cove. It was great for Alex and I to get back, as the Ogunquit area has been a favorite of our since we lived there back in 2000. It was great to see the family I once nannied for, and how much they have grown!
Since returning from out trip, the heat has been ON! Thankfully, Jake got a new hair cut just before summer really HIT..the shorter cut suits him well in this sticky weather.
I wish I had photos to share..but I have misplaced my camera at the moment! Along with my ATM card....just kidding mom!
